How your information is handled.
3D Things collects only what's needed to reply to enquiries. Nothing is sold or shared.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry via the contact form, we collect:
- Your name and email address (required to reply)
- Your phone number (optional)
- The message you write and any file you attach
- Your IP address and the time of submission (for spam protection)
How it's used
Your details are used solely to:
- Reply to your enquiry by email
- Detect and block automated spam submissions
We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not share it with third parties.
Spam and security logging
Every form submission — successful or blocked — is logged to a private file on the server. The log records the timestamp, IP address, a verdict (sent, blocked, or reason for blocking), and the first 200 characters of the message. Logs are not publicly accessible and are used only to review and improve spam protection.
Data retention
Enquiry emails are kept in the workshop inbox for as long as needed to fulfil the job. Spam logs are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses a session cookie to protect the contact form from bots. The cookie is not used for advertising or analytics, and it expires when you close your browser. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To do so, email hello@3dthings.com.au.
